The Department of Surgery has two newly certified Diplomates in General Surgery.
Dr. Louis Gerard Q. Agustin and Dr. Sir Emmanuel S. Astudillo recently passed the certifying examinations of the Philippine Board of Surgery (PBS). The PBS is the national organization that certifies all graduates of general surgery residency training programs in the country.
The Department of Surgery has thus maintained its 100% passing rate in the said examinations for the past several years. The training officer of the Department of Surgery is Dr. Joan S. Tagorda.
