The COLLEGE OF PHYSICAL THERAPY held its Orientation Program for freshmen and their parents last June 9, 2011, at the UE Manila Conference Hall. The objective of the orientation program was to help the freshmen adjust to their new environment through the introduction of the different policies and services of the College.
School administrators were present to orient students of their respective departments.
Ms. Imelda Delos Reyes, UERMMMCI's University Registrar, informed the students of the different functions of the Registrar's Office. Dr. Mark de Guzman informed the students of the health benefits they can avail of through the Infirmary services. Ms. Ma. Juliana Gasmen, UERM's Chief Librarian, notified the students on the services of the Medical Center Library and the UE Main Library. Ms. Tessie Cua, Head of the UERM Management and Information System Department (MISD), advised the students on the services available at the MISD. The Guidance Counselor, Ms. Herminia De Guia, talked about coping up with life changes in entering college and the schedule of counselling services. Ms. Archelle Jane Callejo talked about the Laboratory policies while Mr. Jon De Luna talked about the community involvement of the College. Mr. Daniel Joshua Katigbak, newly elected President of the Student Council, informed the students and the parents of the planned activities of the Student Council and the different clubs available for students. Lastly, the College Secretary, Dr. Carmina Ann Jerez-Cortez, gave an orientation on the academic policies and procedures of the College, along with the College's curricular and extra-curricular activities.
The orientation program ended with a campus tour of UE Manila, facilitated by the members of the faculty and officers of the Student Council.
