2019 World Confederation for Physical Therapy

Mr. Juan Servando S. de los Angeles, a graduating 5th Year BSPT student, represented the UERMMMCI College of Allied Rehabilitation Sciences (CAReS) when he delivered his group’s undergraduate thesis at the 2019 World Confederation for Physical Therapy (WCPT) in Geneva, Switzerland last May 10, 2019.

Mr. de los Angeles was among the 4,961 Filipino physical therapists who attended the WCPT Congress which was also represented by over 450,000 physical therapists from 121 member/organization countries.

CAReS proudly congratulates Mr. de los Angeles and his group members, as well as the UERM administration and faculty for supporting their research vision and endeavors.

Mr. de los Angeles presented the group’s research paper entitled “Effects of Lower Extremity Strengthening versus Core Strengthening Exercises in the Postural Stability of Students with Trisomy 21 (Down Syndrome)”.

His co-members are: Adventrix Agayan, Mary Margaret Asutilla, Alfonso Noel Espino, Angelo Rojo, Ma. Katrina Kylle Viri, and Ron Carlo Zarate. Their advisers are Professor Maria Michaela Valenzuela and Professor Rachel Ruth Koh.
