  2. Sept. 2, 2017 at 8:30 AM – 12:00 NN at the Nursing Amphitheater B (3/F CON Bldg.) Lecture by Prof. Oscar F. Picazo on “Policy Development and Research”

    • Prof Picazo is an esteemed expert in health economics with work in the WHO, World Bank, other international organizations, and universities in our country. He earned his AB Economics at the University of Sto. Tomas (magna cum laude and National State Scholar); his MA in Economics degree and coursework for PhD Economics at the University of the Philippines.

  3. August 26, 2017 at 12:00NN-1:00PM at the Nursing Amphitheater A (G/F CON Bldg.) Lecture by Dr. Susan Pineda-Mercado on “Current Status of Maternal , Child and Adolescent health in the Philippines”

    • Dr. Susan P. Mercado is the former Director, Division of Non-communicable Diseases and Health through the Life-Course, World Health Organization Regional Office for the Western Pacific. She is a graduate of the University of the Philippines where she finished AB Philosophy (magna cum laude), Doctor of Medicine and Masters in Public Health.

  4. September 16, 2017 at 11:00 AM to 12:00 NN at the GS Lecture Room (G/F CON Bldg.) Lecture by Prof. Maria Nilda M. Muñoz on “Precision Medicine: Asthma, COPD & ACOS”

    • Prof. Maria Nilda M. Muñoz is the Director of Research Management Office and Associate Professor of Medicine – St. Luke’s Medical Center College of Medicine; and DOST Science Ambassador. She obtained her Master of Science in Chemistry/ Biochemistry (Advance Pathophysiology/ Pharmacology Immunology courses) from the St Louis University and the University of Chicago (1978 – 1995) She also completed Sabbaticals on Molecular Biology / Airway Physiology and Pharmacology from the The University of Penn, PA; University of Manitoba, Canada; Zentrum fur Pneumologie and Thoraxchirurgie, Grosshandsdorf, Germany; and Section of Cardiology, University of Chicago, IL, (1988 – 1995).
