College of Allied Rehabilitation Sciences (CAReS) sends aid to the Victims of Typhoon Sendong
The College of Allied Rehabilitation Sciences (CAReS), in line with its mission of community service, sends financial and material aid to the victims of the typhoon Sendong last December 22, 2011. Despite being on Christmas break, students, faculty members and supporting staff of the College, united to contribute to this noble cause.
A total of 27,650 pesos and 12 sacks containing clothes, bags and food were collected by the end of the 1-day donation drive. The money raised was donated through the ABS-CBN Foundation, while the other donations were given to the Medical Center's own donation campaign.
Despite the meager amount donated, the College believes that it will go a long way in alleviating the suffering of our fellow countrymen affected by the flood in the Southern part of the Philippines. Living up to its new name, UERM-CAReS ( formerly the College of Physical Therapy), shall continue to stay committed in providing excellent community service, not only here in the Metro, but other parts of the country and the world as well.
