  1. The ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA for Applicants to the Freshman Year, Doctor of Medicine Program
  2. WHO may APPLY?

    1. A graduate of a baccalaureate degree
    2. A candidate for a baccalaureate degree during the period for application may be considered if he/she satisfies the following requirements:
    3. 2.1. Must be able to submit a certificate of Candidacy for Graduation

      2.2. Must be expected to graduate on or before the end of the regular enrollment period which will be posted on our website annually*

      2.3. Must be able to submit all necessary documents for enrollment at least one (1) week before the start of classes.

      *Dates will be posted on the UERMMMCI Official Website: www.uerm.edu.ph at least one (1) month prior to the effectivity.

    4. The following must be satisfied by all applicants:
    5. 3.1. Submit a valid NMAT score, preferably 70 percentile and above

      3.1.a. Valid NMAT: Not more than two (2) years from the school year you are applying for admission.

      For example: An applicant for the school year 2020-2021, the valid NMAT scores are from October 2018, March 2019, October 2019 and *March 2020.

      *3.1.b. For those taking/re-taking the NMAT in March:

      3.1.b.1. The official NMAT result must be submitted to the Office of Admissions, as soon as it becomes available

      3.1.b.2. Your application will be processed only after the submission of the official NMAT result

      3.2. Must possess good oral and written communication skills in BOTH Filipino and English

      3.3. Must have good moral character

      3.4. Must not be enrolled in any medical school at the time of application

      3.5. Must not have more than three (3) failing grades in his/her transcript of records from the last school he/she attended.

      *PLEASE NOTE: ONLY those with COMPLETE APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS will be PROCESSED. INCOMPLETE application requirements WILL NOT be processed.

  3. THE APPLICATION PROCESS
  4. Are you a LOCAL or FOREIGN applicant?

    1. The following are considered as LOCAL applicants:
      1. Resident Filipino citizen
      2. Filipino with Dual Citizenship with Recognition AND proof of residency of at least five (5) consecutive years in the Philippines

      Please refer to Items B.I and B.II below for the Application Procedure for LOCAL Applicants. **PLEASE NOTE: FILIPINOS who are holders of another foreign passport, or who have DUAL CITIZENSHIP, are regarded as Local applicants UNLESS they specifically declare that they are availing of FOREIGN status to be considered for clinical rotations abroad in the fourth year

    2. The following are considered as FOREIGN applicants:
      1. Resident alien
      2. Non-resident alien
      3. Non-resident Filipino (Immigrant of another country)
      4. Filipino citizen who received his/her baccalaureate degree from a foreign school
      5. Foreign citizens whose applications for dual citizenship or naturalization are pending at the time of their application for admission to the College.

      Please refer to Items B.III and B.IV below for the Application Procedure for FOREIGN Applicants.

B.I. Application Procedure for LOCAL Applicants

  1. Visit the UERMMMCI Official Website at www.uerm.edu.ph and fill out the online application form. Be sure to click “submit” after completing and carefully reviewing the filled out application form.
  2. Click "Submission Schedule" and select the date you intend to submit the documentary requirements, and then click “Submit”.
    Please see Item B.II below for the List of General Requirements for LOCAL Applicants.
  3. Print a copy of the completed application form, affix your signature and submit the signed application form together with the other requirements to the UERMMMCI Office of Admissions located in the Ground Floor of the Administration Building (beside the school gym), on the date you selected for submission of your documents for application.
  4. At the Office of Admissions, sign the conforme on the checklist of application requirements and obtain an order of payment from the Office of Admissions. *If applicable, sign the Waiver for Late NMAT. The Waiver for Late NMAT applies to those who are about to take the March NMAT. When you sign this waiver, you agree to waive your right to be included in the first round of deliberation because of incomplete requirements.
  5. Proceed to the Cashier located at 2nd Floor Administration Building and pay the application fee of Php3,000.00. Please keep the Official Receipt (OR).
  6. Present your OR to the Office of Admissions and secure an Interview Schedule. Do not leave the campus without securing an Interview Schedule. Keep the OR with you.
  7. On your selected date of interview, proceed to the Office of Admissions to secure the name of your interviewer and the venue of your interview.
  8. Proceed to the room of your assigned interviewer.
  9. After the interview, be sure to return the proof of your interview to the Office of Admissions before leaving the campus.
  10. You may view the status of your application in the Applicants’ Portal.
  11. Successful applicants must strictly adhere to the prescribed schedule for reservation. To secure your slot, you must pay the applicable fee(s). Failure to pay the reservation fee on or before the deadline will result in the forfeiture of your slot. Note that the reservation fee is non-refundable and non-transferable.

The following applicants are subject to local fees:

  1. Resident Filipino
  2. Filipino with Dual Citizenship with Recognition AND proof of residency of at least five (5) consecutive years in the Philippines

B.II. List of General Requirements for LOCAL Applicants

  1. For graduates of baccalaureate degree:
    1.1. One (1) original copy of Diploma/Certificate of Graduation
    1.2. One (1) original copy of Official Transcript of Records from the last school attended
  2. For candidates for a baccalaureate degree, expecting to graduate on or before the deadline set for the submission of required documents for application.
    2.1. Certificate of Candidacy for Graduation
    2.2. One (1) original copy of Official Transcript of Records from the last school attended showing at least three (3) school years of course-work for 4-year courses; and four (4) school years for 5-year courses.
  3. One (1) copy of signed application form
  4. One (1) original copy of Certified Report of Percentile Score, National Medical Admission Test (NMAT
  5. One (1) Certificate of Good Moral Character and two (2) Recommendation Letters from two (2) professors in college
  6. Two (2) copies of 2x2 colored picture with name tag and white background
  7. One (1) piece long plain folder and brown envelope

B.III. Application Procedure for FOREIGN Applicants

  1. Visit the UERMMMCI official website at www.uerm.edu.ph. Accomplish the online application form. Be sure to click "Submit".
  2. Click "Submission Schedule" and select the date you intend to submit the documentary requirements, and then click "Submit".
    Please refer to Item B.IV. for List of General Requirements for FOREIGN Applicants.
  3. Print a completed application form and affix your signature.
  4. Submit the signed application form together with the required documents to the Office of Admissions. It is not necessary that you personally submit the documents. You may opt to send your documents through a local representative or via registered mail or courier service.
  5. Please inform the Office of Admissions via email at admission@uerm.edu.ph on how you intend to submit your application and the accompanying documents. Indicate the date by which we should expect to receive your documents.
  6. You will be informed by the Office of Admissions once we received your documents. Expect from us an acknowledgment receipt via email with a checklist of documents we received from you. Kindly keep a copy of this email for your reference.
  7. You will receive instructions for application payment via email.
  8. Pay the application fee of $300.00 as instructed. Keep the Official Receipt (OR).
  9. Send a copy of the proof of payment via email to the Office of Admissions.
  10. Secure an Interview Schedule by communicating with the Office of Admissions via email at admission@uerm.edu.ph

  11. Foreign applicants have three (3) interview options as follows:

    Option 1:

    Interview by any of the recognized interviewer who are graduates of the UERMMMCI College of Medicine residing in the USA.

    Interview by a local faculty of the College of Medicine via “Skype” or similar digital platform.

    Option 3: Face-to-face interview with a local faculty

  12. You may view the status of your application in the Applicants’ Portal.

B.IV. List of General Requirements for FOREIGN Applicants

  1. For graduates of baccalaureate degree:
    1.1. One (1) original copy and two (2) photocopies of Diploma/Certificate of Graduation with "APOSTILLE"
    1.2. One (1) original copy and two (2) photocopies of Official Transcript of Records with "APOSTILLE"
  2. For candidates for a baccalaureate degree, expecting to graduate on or before the deadline set for the submission of required documents for application
    2.1. Certificate of Candidacy for Graduation
    2.2. One (1) original copy of Official Transcript of Records from the last school attended showing at least three (3) school years of course-work for 4-year courses; and four (4) school years for 5-year courses."
  3. One (1) copy of the signed application form
  4. Six (6) original copies of Personal History Statement Form (PHS, Revised 1998), downloadable from the UERMMMCI Official Website
  5. One (1) original and two (2) photocopies of Notarized Affidavit of Support and Proof of Adequate Financial Support, i.e. bank statement to cover expenses for student’s accommodation and subsistence, as well as school dues and other incidental expenses
  6. One (1) original and two (2) photocopies of Birth Certificate
  7. Eight (8) copies of 2x2 colored picture with name tag and white background
  8. One (1) original and two (2) photocopies of Notarized Police Clearance in the applicant’s country of origin or legal residence
  9. Two (2) Recommendation Letters/Certificate of Good Moral Character from two (2) former professors from last school attended
  10. One (1) original copy and two (2) photocopies of Certified Report of Percentile Score, National Medical Admission Test (NMAT)
  11. Photocopy of the pages of the valid passport/s which shows the name, picture, birth date and birth place of the applicant
  12. One (1) original copy and two (2) photocopies of National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) Clearance (For Foreign Applicant who visited the Philippines once or twice)

FURTHER INSTRUCTIONS TO ALL APPLICANTS:

  1. Important notices will be sent through your mobile number; you must therefore update the Office of Admissions if there is any change in your mobile number.
  2. Appeals for reconsideration will only be accepted in the month of May.
    2.1.Appeals must be addressed to the Dean of the College of Medicine through the Office of Admissions.
    2.2.The Letter of Appeal must be written and duly signed by the applicant himself/herself. The applicant must indicate his/her active mobile number and email address in the letter of appeal.
  3. Your enrollment date will be given to you upon payment of your reservation fee. Failure to adhere to your enrollment date may result to the forfeiture of your slot.
  4. All qualified applicants will be required to undergo a complete medical examination including a psychologic evaluation as part of the enrollment procedure. Successful applicants will be required to disclose their history of immunization against the following Vaccine Preventable Diseases: Hepatitis B, MMR, Varicella, Tdap, Flu and Rabies.
  5. Accomplish the Signed Declaration by Applicant (page 3 of the Application Form)

    Schedule of Regular Enrollment for Incoming Freshmen: up to the first two (2) weeks of July
    Opening of Classes: First week of August
